Ali Banisadr is an Iranian-American painter whose dense, pulsating abstract-figurative canvases combine childhood memories of the Iran-Iraq War with synesthetic soundscapes, Hieronymus Bosch, and classical Persian miniatures. His kinetic surfaces feature hundreds of microscopic, battling spectral figures sweeping through turbulent cosmic color storms.
