Alia Ahmad is a Saudi Arabian artist associated with Contemporary painting. Across Painting, the work investigates semi-abstract gardens and landscapes that translate the color, heat, flora and architecture of Riyadh into dense painted fields. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
