Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato (1900–1995) was an extraordinary modernist painter who developed a singular, self-fashioned technique utilizing handmade pigments, engraved combs, and scrapers on wood board. Spending decades as a muralist and house painter in Europe and Brazil before dedicating himself entirely to fine art in his later years, Lorenzato captured landscapes, urban outskirts, sunbursts, and daily life in Minas Gerais with remarkable textural ingenuity.
