Arcangelo Sassolino is an acclaimed Italian sculptor who represented Malta at the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022 with his monumental kinetic installation of dripping molten steel drops hitting water. Building industrial machines powered by extreme hydraulic pressure that slowly bend steel beams or violently shatter blocks of bulletproof glass, his work explores physical tension, danger, and transience.
