Christo Vladimirov Javacheff developed temporary environmental projects with Jeanne-Claude that altered buildings, landscapes and public infrastructure through wrapping, fabric, color and large-scale intervention. The projects were self-financed through the sale of preparatory drawings and works, allowing unusual independence from sponsors and commissions.
