Dexter Dalwood is a British artist associated with Contemporary painting. Across Painting, the work investigates historical events and famous interiors reconstructed from fragments of visual culture rather than direct eyewitness imagery. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
