Ellen Berkenblit

Across Painting; drawing, Ellen Berkenblit has developed a practice centered on women, animals and graphic signs rendered through assertive line, compressed space and psychologically charged color. The work is best understood in relation to Contemporary figurative painting, where material choices and visual structure carry as much weight as subject matter.
