Fernando Ortega creates subtle, poetic installations, sound interventions, and photographic works inspired by fleeting everyday events, acoustic phenomena, and natural occurrences. Frequently orchestrating minimal spatial disruptions—such as an automated fly zapper altering violin music, or spiderwebs preserved with precise lighting—Ortega examines impermanence, vulnerability, and the fine threshold separating mundane occurrence from sensory epiphany.
