Heimo Zobernig is an Austrian conceptual artist whose rigorous, wry practice deconstructs the foundational tenets of modernism, display design, and color theory. Working across geometric grid paintings, cardboard and particle-board pedestals, typography, and video performances, Zobernig represented Austria at the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015, paring institutional architecture down to its bare spatial essence.
