Jacques Lipchitz
1891–1973 · Lithuanian-American
Jacques Lipchitz became one of the leading Cubist sculptors in Paris, developing dense interlocking figures from stone and bronze before later moving toward more organic and expressionistic forms. He emigrated to the United States during World War II.
