Working across Sculpture; glass; bronze; photography, Kelly Akashi is an American artist whose practice focuses on fragile bodily forms, botanical motifs and cast objects that explore time, transformation and mortality. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary sculpture, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
