Louise Giovanelli produces luminous paintings that oscillate between figuration and abstraction, drawing on sources ranging from Renaissance frescoes to cinematic close-ups. Through layered glazes and cropped framing, she explores the rituals of looking, materiality, and tactile surface tension.
