Working across Painting, Marcus Jahmal is an American artist whose practice focuses on urban characters, interiors and cultural symbols painted with loose energy and a strong sense of social atmosphere. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary figurative painting, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
