Mario Nigro was a seminal Italian abstract painter who co-founded the Movimento Arte Concreta (MAC). Formulating rhythmic grids he termed 'Total Space', his optical vibrating lines translate scientific concepts of atomic energy and musical time into radical geometric painting.
