Matthew Ronay is an American artist working across Sculpture. The practice centers on hand-carved wooden forms arranged into surreal bodily and biomorphic systems with an intimate, ritual-like scale. In relation to Contemporary sculpture, formal decisions remain closely tied to the cultural, social and material conditions surrounding the work.
