Mehdi Ghadyanloo creates surrealist, trompe-l'œil paintings of suspended architectural boxes, floating ladders, and spirals illuminated by skylights. Beginning his career painting dozens of monumental civic murals across Tehran, Ghadyanloo explores hope, political censorship, and psychological confinement through minimalist spatial metaphors.
