Miguel Calderón is a filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist known for his provocative, dark humor and keen observational studies of transgression, social class dynamics, and youth subcultures in Mexico City. A key protagonist of the 1990s alternative art scene and co-founder of the gallery space La Panadería, Calderón blends cinematic melodrama, absurd staged accidents, and documentary realism to examine human aggression, ritual, and vulnerability.
