Paulo Nimer Pjota creates monumental paintings on un-stretched raw canvases and industrial sheets of metal, interweaving ancient Mediterranean vases, pre-Columbian iconography, street tags, botanical flora, and contemporary consumer logos. Pjota juxtaposes historical civilizations with gritty contemporary street culture, exploring how cultural symbols migrate, cross-pollinate, and survive across centuries.
