Pierre Knop is a French-German artist associated with Contemporary painting. Across Painting, the work investigates dreamlike landscapes and scenes built from luminous color, loose gesture and a deliberately unstable relation to reality. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
