Richard Hawkins is an American artist associated with Contemporary art; queer art. Across Painting; collage; writing, the work investigates desire, celebrity, literature and outsider culture assembled through collage, painting and research-driven visual archives. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
