Shigeko Kubota
1937–2015 · Japanese-American
Shigeko Kubota was a pioneering video artist who combined monitors, sculpture and moving image into what she called video sculpture. After participating in Fluxus in New York, she developed works that engage landscape, memory, Marcel Duchamp and personal experience.
