Stan Douglas is a Canadian artist associated with Contemporary media art. Across Film; photography; installation, the work investigates historical reconstruction, cinema and photography used to examine moments when social and technological systems could have developed differently. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
