Susan Hiller was an American-British artist associated with Conceptual art. Across Installation; video; sound; photography, the work investigates archives, dreams, paranormal experience and marginalized knowledge systems treated as serious cultural evidence. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
