Tony Bechara is a Puerto Rican-American artist working across Painting. The practice centers on dense chromatic grids assembled from tiny painted units that treat color as both system and optical event. In relation to Geometric abstraction, formal decisions remain closely tied to the cultural, social and material conditions surrounding the work.
