About

The Louvre occupies a former royal palace in Paris, with collections spanning thousands of years. Its rooms bring painting, sculpture and decorative arts into conversation with the long history of the building itself.

Why visit

Choose a collection or part of the palace to explore closely rather than trying to see everything. Checking room availability in advance helps shape a more focused visit.
