Working across Painting, Ana Segovia is a Mexican artist whose practice focuses on Mexican cinema, masculinity and national stereotypes reworked through theatrical, deliberately constructed painted scenes. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary painting; queer art, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
