Andro Wekua is a Georgian visual artist whose haunting figurative wax sculptures, paintings, and architectural installations draw on traumatic childhood memories of the Abkhazian civil war and his displaced hometown of Sokhumi. Featuring uncanny mannequins with synthetic hair and aluminum structures, his works examine political exile, loss, and phantom memories.
