Edward Steichen
1879–1973 · Luxembourg-born American
Edward Steichen moved from Pictorialist photography and painting into fashion, advertising, portraiture and museum exhibition-making. As director of photography at MoMA after World War II, he organized The Family of Man, one of the most widely seen photographic exhibitions in history.
