Gary Hume is a British artist associated with Young British Artists; contemporary painting. Across Painting, the work investigates flat, high-gloss images reduced to bold contours and unexpected color relationships. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
