Working across Painting, Jonathan Gardner is an American artist whose practice focuses on quiet figures and interiors built from flattened geometry, art-historical quotation and carefully controlled color. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary figurative painting, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
