Hayv Kahraman paints delicate, highly choreographed compositions on cross-hatched raw linen exploring trauma, gendered violence, and the migrant condition. Drawing on twelfth-century Iraqi Maqamat manuscripts and Renaissance geometry, her recurring female figures enact rituals of survival and healing.
