Heidi Bucher was a visionary Swiss artist celebrated for her revolutionary latex skinnings (Häutungen), where liquid latex and gauze were applied to the walls, doors, and floors of ancestral domestic rooms and psychiatric sanatoriums, then physically peeled off like giant shed snake skins. Her iridescent architectural casts explore patriarchal confinement and spiritual liberation.
