Kati Heck is a German-Belgian artist associated with Contemporary figurative painting. Across Painting; sculpture, the work investigates large theatrical paintings that mix portraiture, absurdity, art history and a deliberately unruly approach to style. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
