Kyungah Ham is famous for her covert North Korean embroidery series, which tests geopolitical boundaries and censorship. Ham smuggles digital blueprints of abstract motifs and hidden messages into North Korea through middlemen, where anonymous artisans execute them in silk embroidery over thousands of hours before smuggling them back across the DMZ.
