Lesley Vance creates intimate, luminous abstract paintings distinguished by fluid, ribbon-like swathes of paint scraped and blended wet-into-wet. Beginning with arranged tabletop still lifes, Vance progressively improvises across the canvas until objective forms dissolve into pure sculptural light and shadow.
