Artist
Lygia Clark
1920–1988 · Brazilian
Lygia Clark moved from geometric abstraction into hinged Bichos that viewers could manipulate, then increasingly abandoned the autonomous artwork for sensory propositions involving bodies, breath, touch and collective experience. By the 1970s she was using relational objects in therapeutic contexts.
