Across Sculpture; installation; writing, Matias Faldbakken has developed a practice centered on industrial materials, vandalized objects and anti-aesthetic gestures used to examine cultural refusal, design and social control. The work is best understood in relation to Conceptual art, where material choices and visual structure carry as much weight as subject matter.
