Mimosa Echard won the prestigious Prix Marcel Duchamp in 2022 for her hybrid assemblages that fuse organic botanicals, medical packaging, electronic chips, cosmetics, and synthetic resin. Inspired by the biodiversity of her native Cévennes mountains and queer ecological theory, Echard crafts shimmering, liquid-filled sculptural screens and sensory matrices that explore symbiotic cross-contamination between biological bodies and consumer tech.
