Minoru Onoda
1937–2008 · Japanese
Minoru Onoda joined Gutai in 1965 after developing what he called Propagation Paintings—fields of repeated circular forms that appear to multiply across the surface. He linked these patterns to ideas of organic growth and self-generating systems.
