Natalia Goncharova was one of the most wide-ranging figures of the Russian avant-garde. She combined folk imagery, icon traditions, Cubism and Futurism, co-developed Rayonism with Mikhail Larionov, and later became a major designer for Serge Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes in Paris.
