Nicole Wittenberg is an American painter whose saturated landscapes and domestic studies pulsate with electric, unnatural coloration and sensual mark-making. Working across oil paint, dry pastel, and monotype, her depictions of nocturnal waters, Maine forests, and private bedrooms channel heightened psychological atmospheres.
