Pélagie Gbaguidi is a Beninese artist associated with Contemporary African art. Across Painting; drawing; textile, the work investigates history, trauma and embodied memory translated into layered, gestural images that resist official narratives. Meaning develops through the relationship between process, display and lived cultural experience rather than through a single signature motif.
