Tavares Strachan is an internationally celebrated Bahamian conceptual artist and MacArthur Fellow whose practice investigates aerospace science, deep-sea exploration, and the historical erasure of Black pioneers. From launching a gold satellite memorializing the first Black astronaut Robert Henry Lawrence Jr. to building colossal neon text monuments (I BELONG HERE), Strachan maps invisible histories.
