Yael Bartana

Working across Film; photography; installation, Yael Bartana is an Israeli artist whose practice focuses on ritual, nationalism and collective memory staged through cinematic works that borrow the visual language of propaganda and ceremony. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary video; political art, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
