Agnes Pelton

Agnes Pelton developed a luminous abstract painting language in the American Southwest, using floating forms, horizons, light and symbolic color to explore spiritual and metaphysical ideas. She became a founding member of the Transcendental Painting Group in New Mexico in 1938.
