Artist
Arman
1928–2005 · French-born American
Arman, born Armand Fernandez, became a central Nouveau Réaliste through accumulations of repeated consumer objects, shattered instruments and compressed debris. His work moved from the trace of an object to the object itself, treating mass production and waste as sculptural facts.
