Elizabeth Catlett
1915–2012 · American-Mexican
Elizabeth Catlett created prints and sculptures centered on Black women, labor, motherhood and political struggle. After moving to Mexico, she worked with the Taller de Gráfica Popular and developed a career bridging African American and Mexican visual traditions.
