Hans Haacke

Hans Haacke moved from early systems works involving water, air and biological processes into one of the defining practices of institutional critique. From the 1970s onward he used corporate records, property data, museum sponsorship and political networks as artistic material, exposing the economic structures surrounding cultural institutions.
