Working across Painting; drawing, Joyce Pensato was an American artist whose practice focuses on cartoon characters painted in explosive black, white and silver, turning familiar popular icons into psychologically charged presences. The work sits in conversation with Contemporary expressionism, developing its own language through sustained attention to material, image and context.
