Kim Whanki

Kim Whanki helped define Korean modern abstraction through a career that moved from stylized moons, mountains and ceramics toward increasingly nonobjective fields of points and color. After periods in Seoul and Paris, he settled in New York in 1963, where his late all-over paintings reached their most expansive form.
